Hi Everyone,

Its been a while since we saw each other with Jez and his crew back at Veppsky 2008. We have been discussing for a while with Jez an opportunity to set up an interesting hard core trophy event in Ukraine, where vast spaces ad dense forests provide for an opportunity to play with memories to stay for years : )

He has inspired me to organize the first race back in May 2009, which we have called MegaXXXhard and where we have assembled crews in TR-2 and TR-3 who raced aganst the clock through the swamps. We have set up the trackloggers on each rig which allowed for us to see the movement of each crew online on the map from the base camp - which was the first time anything like this was organized in Ukraine.

Now we are making the 2010 race to be held on May 28-30 with a group of enthusiasts; and as we finalize the www.ukraine-trophy.com, I would like to invite you to come - preliminary Rule Book is alredy available online; some photoes from the last race are at

http://picasaweb.google.com/ostapsv/MegaXXXard2009#

I would keep up with the updates and lookforward to seeing old friends and new faces in Kiev this year. For those of you who have not come out this far yet, we provide full technical, safety, visa and boder crossing assistance.

When planning the time, we specifcally chose the best time to visit Ukraine -at the end of May, with all nature in blossom , weather very warm. We in no way intnd to compete for participants with Yuri at Ladoga; however if you check out the cost of Ladoga this year (regstration combined with all the logistics), it is very expensive, and becoming more so very year. At 200 USD and plenty of new things to experience and see, the play in Ukraine I think is more attractive - we expect around 40-50 very strong crews this year and are also making a great Torusim route in the historical places, so there would be something to do for everyone.

Hmm, can't see where I went wrong.
I've put down Ladoga for May 28th till June 6th, so would seem to coincide with the 2010 Ukrain race on May 28-30.  undecided

Hey guys,

full size site up and running.

http://ukraine-trophy.com

Still filling up the English content so apologies but even the Russian version should give you a fairly good view of what this is all about.

OK, I know I know, Ladoga and all. But for those of you willing to come out and play in Ukraine (and to hang around Kiev for a few more days), youre very very welcome. (Were better than Russia! :) )

Jez - where have you disappeared? Whats up and hows your team doing?

Hey, scattered team!

If you wanna come out and ride in the best of lands at the best of times, this is your chance. We already have around 40 crews, just finished a next round of scouting, agreed everything with the local administration, we will have one SU laid as pure rock cawling with huge boulders etc. 300 km of pure heavy duty offroading in the midst of nowhere :) and if you though Vepssky is tough, check us out.

In the Tourism track, we have Skythian monuments, Stalin command bunkers and various defense installations; amazing beautiful forests & swamps, old villages (and I mean OLD OLD), and the city of Kiev nearby for all your sightseeing.

We can meet you at the border and assist with all formalities if need be.

If that says anythng to you, Priit Aus is coming out to play with his friends to Ukraine this year instead of Ladoga.

Let me know if I can help with more info etc. - we constantly are adding more news and updates to the site but if you need more info, call me at +38067570027 or email ostapsv@gmail.com
